This essay looks at expressing my developing philosophical beliefs about teaching primary school mathematics. To adequately do this, in this essay I draw on the following things: firstly on my own personal prior experiences with mathematics and how they have affected my attitude towards maths, secondly on the readings that have been provided to me throughout the course of the mathematics subject, thirdly how the relationships I have developed with my peers in this subject have affected my view on things relating to maths, then the various key ideas, themes and activities that we have looked at in lectures and tutorials and lastly how the ideas and perceptions that I had previous to commencing the subject about maths and teaching it have changed or stayed the same and how these ideas will be applied in a mathematics classroom.
